Construction is moving along at breakneck speed to allow tenants to move in within the next couple of weeks. Grand opening sometime in May?? Clambank Construction is doing a great job with such a tight deadline…don’t all projects have “tight” deadlines?

DESIGNING YOUR PLACE OF BUSINESS FOR YOUR BUSINESS

Image above is an archive image from Life magazine Peter Gibbons: So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that’s on the worst day of my life. Dr. Swanson: What about today? ...

or You Could Talk To An Architect About It Instead “And I said, I don’t care if they lay me off either, because I told, I told Bill that if they move my desk one more time, then, then I’m, I’m quitting, I’m going to quit. And, and I told Don too, because they’ve moved ...

“Frank Logs” That’s Not Right

March 6, 2011 | Posted by Brad on Blogs and Articles / Tagged: architects, info, lincoln logs | 0 comments

Lincoln Logs played a major role in my chosen profession as an architect so when my father-in-law told me about this little bit of trivia I had to find out more. Thanks to Wikipedia for the info. Lincoln Logs are a toy consisting of notched miniature logs, about ¾ inches (1-2 cm) in diameter. Analogous to real logs used in a log cabin, Lincoln Logs ...

Today is Cowork Day!

January 19, 2010 | Posted by Brad on Blogs and Articles / Tagged: collaborate, cowork | 4 comments

Today is the first official cowork session for the Charleston area.  Currently I am sitting here at Rehava (our temporary location) enjoying the workday and getting a feel for this whole cowork thing.  For those of you that have never heard of “coworking” wikipedia defines it as an emerging trend for a new pattern for working. Typically work-at-home professionals or independent contractors or people who travel ...

Coworking is such a great concept-shared space, resources, and ideas. I see good things for you and your group.

BRAD’S about.me PAGE

Brad Brown

I'm a father, husband, and architect (since I was 9 years old). I can be found architecting, parenting, thinking, husbanding, or designing, usually with a cup of coffee. Also, I like my Womb chair, modern design, and living in historic Charleston, SC.

As a licensed architect (the building kind), as well as a designer, consumer of technology, problem solver, and business owner I provide a unique insight into our built environment. Each client (you) provides an opportunity to design a building, or space that does what it is supposed to do while also being respectful of where it is.

Did I mention I like coffee...nothing fancy, just a plain ol' cup of joe, and I would like to buy you a cup (however fancy you like) and talk about your piece of the built environment.
