FLAGSHIP2 UPDATE

Construction is moving along at breakneck speed to allow tenants to move in within the next couple of weeks. Grand opening sometime in May?? Clambank Construction is doing a great job with such a tight deadline…don’t all projects have “tight” deadlines?

That’s A Lot of Snow

February 25, 2011 | Posted by Brad on Current Projects / Tagged: house, Minnesota, renovation, Snow, winter | 0 comments

Brown-Architecture has been selected for it’s first project out of this region and we are excited. This house is located in Mankato, Minnesota where it is “obviously” very cold this time of year. Maybe that is why the homeowners move here to Charleston for the winter. I really do enjoy seeing some snow every now and then but even so I am ...

Flagship2 Sets Sail…

February 23, 2011 | Posted by Brad on Current Projects / Tagged: City of Charleston, Fabric, Flagship, Flagship2, projects | 0 comments

technically you could say it is still docked but everyone is boarding (actually it’s under construction) and “preparing” for the maiden voyage. Now that we have the cheesy nautical references out of our system, under construction is one of the newest designs of Brown-Arch, in collaboration with Fabric UDO, the Flagship 2 (FS2). FS2 is an expansion of the Digital Corridor’s highly ...

What does your new “Cowork” workspace need?

Visit www.chscowork.org to find out what our group of coworkers is up to and what we are working on. We have now had three cowork sessions with a great turnout for each. Everyone loves the temporary setup at Rehava (thanks Steve), and as expected we are starting to wonder how the permanent space in Park Circle is going to compete (I suggest gallons of ...

Brown-Architecture and the town are currently working on creating a new vision for the town’s historic Central Business District. To bring this vision to reality, the town is applying for several grants with the hopes of kick starting the redevelopment of the historic center. ...

BRAD’S about.me PAGE

Brad Brown

I'm a father, husband, and architect (since I was 9 years old). I can be found architecting, parenting, thinking, husbanding, or designing, usually with a cup of coffee. Also, I like my Womb chair, modern design, and living in historic Charleston, SC.

As a licensed architect (the building kind), as well as a designer, consumer of technology, problem solver, and business owner I provide a unique insight into our built environment. Each client (you) provides an opportunity to design a building, or space that does what it is supposed to do while also being respectful of where it is.

Did I mention I like coffee...nothing fancy, just a plain ol' cup of joe, and I would like to buy you a cup (however fancy you like) and talk about your piece of the built environment.
